Ok, so our quiz league is getting increasingly difficult to read- a big thanks to the now 55 different teams that have taken part over the past 12 weeks! Our newcomers the Con-quiz-tadors stormed the league this week by walking away with first place, hope to see you back to challenge guys!

At the top of the table Quizblorg put in another fine showing bringing them up to second outright, with Filthy Husbands still holding a comfortable lead going into the final months, but can they be caught?

Points make all the difference...

Well, it was a quiet night- obviously our casual quizzers were staying indoors hiding from the fireworks- but things went with a (small) bang in the cafe! Had some cracking rounds themed on Bonfire Night, and for those of you that couldn't make it you missed lots of exclamation marks, anarchy and throwing moustaches into a tub!

At the end of all that, some small changes at the top of the table. Issue the Flugelhorn reigned victorious (for the first time this league I believe), moving them up the table on points difference above Mynci Tennis. The absence of the storm crowd also helped Quizblorg move up into second place, but again it's on points! Can the Filthy Husbands be caught by December 16th?

We have a purpose!

Another fantastic quiz night last night folks, all getting very close up there are the top! Storm took home the first place, with the Quizblorgers in second but nobody managed to claim the money, so it'll be up to £80 next week!

In other news, we announced last night the whole point of this thing! The league will run in four seasons per year, culminating this time on Tuesday 16th December which will be our last quiz of the year! The winning team will be presented with a shiny trophy and a bottle of champagne to celebrate and will have their name immortalised in some form of shiny metal! Good luck folks!

I'm off to grab the Filipinos from the kitchen...

So... a very close call this week with only 3 full points separating ALL teams after the quiz was finished! Filthy Husbands are still out in the lead at the moment, but it's getting closer... Or actually slightly less close :D Still plenty of points to play for!

A fantastic night last night folks, thanks again for coming down and making the night great! I managed to hold my own in the Beat The Quizmaster round, but then I did choose the quiz- next time I'll let you guys choose the round! The league is taking shape slowly; with the Storm crew having to run off for the final round the Filthy Husbands have opened up a small gap at the top of the table, but a week or so could change all that!

Next week we're back to £40 for the jackpot, with our usual prizes and raffle etc etc, and I think I might keep up the charity shop third prize thing, because everyone loves a Batman and Robin DVD...

So there we have it folks! Filth Husbands closing the gap on Storm for first place, and Quizblorg sneaking up in 3rd. All it takes is for one team lynchpin to go on holiday and this league's still anyone's game! Next week we'll be playing for the usual stuff, plus £120 in the jackpot kitty!
